CONCORD, N.C. -- Austin Dillon posted the fastest speed (189.288 mph) in the only practice for Friday night’s Sprint Showdown at Charlotte Motor Speedway.
Greg Biffle, Martin Truex Jr., Paul Menard and Danica Patrick rounded out the top five in the session for the event, which will determine two slots in Saturday night’s Sprint All-Star Race. The Showdown will feature two 20-lap segments, the winner of each will advance to the All-Star Race.
