Rookie Cameron Hayley led the way in Thursday’s abbreviated lone Camping World Truck Series practice session at Kansas Speedway.
Hayley had a field-best speed of 175.798 mph, followed by fellow rookie Daniel Hemric (175.558), Daniel Suarez (175.393) and another rookie, Erik Jones (175.279), with Ryan Newman fifth-fastest (175.006).
There were two sessions originally scheduled, a one-hour practice followed by a 90-minute final practice. However, rain washed out the one-hour session and delayed the second session before the rain stopped and trucks were able to get onto the race track.
Qualifying is Friday, with the Toyota Tundra 250 race later that same evening.
