A unique one-day, NASCAR-themed summer camp for high school students will be held June 16, Leavine Family Racing announced Friday.

To be held at LFR’s Concord, N.C., headquarters, “CAMP 95” will provide campers a behind-the-scenes look at NASCAR, and particularly from a team standpoint.

“An important part of our Leavine Family Racing team is focusing on the racing community and our local community,” said team owner Bob Leavine in a release from the team. “I am thrilled to give back to the community by using the organization as a way to provide these students with a look at some different career opportunities available to them.”

Much of the camp will focus on careers in racing, from marketing to sponsorship, as well as the technical side such as engineering and what a crew chief does.

“I’m very excited to have the opportunity to show these students how many different roles there are in NASCAR in a hands-on environment like CAMP 95,” said crew chief Wally Rogers. “I hope that by explaining how I got started in the industry I can somehow make an impact on how they look at their future careers.”

Students interested in attending CAMP 95 can apply online. Click here for the application.

Applications are due by May 25 and only 30 campers will be selected to participate. These campers will be notified of their acceptance via email by June 1.

Any questions applicants may have can be emailed to info@LFR95.com.
