According to Sports Business Daily, NASCAR fans will be able to use FanVision scanners at tracks through 2019.

NASCAR and FanVision agreed to a new deal a year and half before their original was to run out.

FanVision’s device, which allow fans to listen to team radio communication and watch video of the race, has been available to fans to purchase or rent at tracks since 2012. The company originally distributed the devices through a third party before doing so itself beginning in 2014.

This resulted in a 10 percent increase in sales from 2013.

“It generates a lot of revenue for our business and it’s a place where we really feel like it’s a product fit,” FanVision CEO Andrew Daines told Sports Business Daily. “When you have that kind of product/market fit, you just want to keep it going as long as you can.”

Daines said typically that 10,000 of their devices are used every weekend as NASCAR tracks and they will now provide more"point-of-sale kiosks” as a result of the deal.
