Kyle Larson has been cleared to return to racing, Chip Ganassi Racing confirmed Thursday.
“Following a thorough review of all the test results by his attending physicians and in conjunction with the medical staff from NASCAR, Kyle Larson has been medically cleared to return to all NASCAR related activities beginning at Texas Motor Speedway next weekend, April 10-11,’’ the team said in a statement.
Larson missed last weekend’s NASCAR Sprint Cup race at Martinsville Speedway after fainting a day earlier during at autograph session at the track. Regan Smith drove for Larson.
Larson was released from Carolinas Medical Center on Monday and completed testing Tuesday. The team had stated in updates since the fainting episode that Larson felt fine and tests showed nothing.
