This weekend marks the kickoff of several in-season promotions and special paint schemes celebrating the 25th anniversary of the Sprint Cup Series partnership between Team Penske and MillerCoors.

The team and beer manufacturer began their partnership in 1991, when Rusty Wallace was behind the wheel of the No. 2.

The car become known as “The Blue Duece” due to its dark blue coloring, as well as “The Blanco Duece” the last few seasons when an alternate primary white paint scheme has been on the car.

A commemorative 25th anniversary logo will grace the hood of Brad Keselowski’s No. 2 Miller Lite/Penske Racing Ford Fusion this weekend at Las Vegas to start a season-long series of promotions.

Miller Lite and Team Penske are also holding a contest where fans will be able to vote online to determine which of three unique paint schemes will be on Keselowski’s car for the Sprint All-Star race in Charlotte in mid-May.

There will also be a return to two former retro looks on the No. 2 this season, as well:

* The black and gold Miller Genuine Draft paint scheme from the 1990s for the August race at Michigan.

* The red and white Miller High Life design from the 1980s for the Labor Day weekend race at Darlington.

“It is remarkable that Team Penske and Miller have been racing together for 25 years,” Keselowski, who will be making the 200th start of his Sprint Cup career in Sunday’s race, said in a statement. “It is definitely an honor for me to be able to drive a car that has such a rich and storied tradition of excellence.”
