It’ll be Front Row Joe and Front Row Motorsports for this weekend’s Folds of Honor QuikTrip 500 at Atlanta Motor Speedway.
Veteran NASCAR driver Joe Nemechek will replace David Ragan in FRM’s No. 34 Ford, the team confirmed to NASCAR Talk‘s Nate Ryan.
More details are expected shortly about who will replace Ragan while he drives for injured Kyle Busch in the No. 18 Toyota. Joe Gibbs Racing said in a Tuesday release that Ragan would be in the car for at least the next “several weeks.”
Sources have told NASCAR Talk that the plan is for Ragan to drive the car for nine races before Camping World Truck Series driver Erik Jones would take the wheel of the No. 18 in the May 9 race at Kansas Speedway. Ragan then would return to the No. 34.
Nemecheck is believed to be in the Front Row car only for Atlanta. An interim driver beyond Atlanta could be named this week.
