NASCAR America: Who is the favorite among Dash 4 Cash drivers?

Christopher Bell, Daniel Hemric, Cole Custer and Ryan Preece break down what it means to be a Dash 4 Cash contestant at Bristol.

Four Xfinity Series drivers will go head-to-head this weekend for $100,000 at Bristol Motor Speedway as part of the first round in the Dash 4 Cash program.

The prize is the first of four consecutive races were four drivers will compete for the large sum of money - at Bristol, Richmond, Talladega and Dover.

Christopher Bell, Daniel Hemric, Cole Custer and Ryan Preece - the top four finishing Xfinity regulars from last weekend’s race Texas Motor Speedway - will go for the money.

Whoever places highest in the race will win the cash. That driver and the three highest finishing Xfinity regulars in the race will then compete for another $100,000 next weekend at Richmond.

NASCAR America analysts Dale Jarrett, Landon Cassill and Kyle Petty discussed who they think has the advantage in the first race.

“I’m looking at Christopher Bell, he’s really performed well at every type (of) track,” Jarrett said. “All the guys again are short track specialists. That’s how they made their way through this. Christopher Bell has shown me everything it takes to be successful.”

Petty chose Stewart-Haas Racing’s Custer.

“I know what this kid will do to win a race, we saw it in the Truck Series,” Petty said. “You throw $100,000 on the line, you throw Bristol into the mix, I think this is a guy you’re going to have to keep your eye on.”

Cassill went with Joe Gibbs Racing’s Preece.

“He’s somebody I identify with,” said Cassill, who drove for JD Motorsports in the Xfinity Series with Preece. “He grinded it out for so many years, he’s been in a position where a top-10 finish is a good finish. He took a step back last year and put himself in a position to drive a couple of races with JGR and he went to Iowa Speedway and he put himself in Victory Lane.”
