Is Ryan Blaney’s win at Pocono the biggest story of 2017 thus far in NASCAR?

Ryan Blaney surprised many by winning at a difficult Pocono track and the young driver showed he's learned from earlier mistakes in the season.

Ryan Blaney’s win is the biggest story of the year in NASCAR, according to NASCAR Hall of Famer Dale Jarrett, who explained why during Monday’s edition of NASCAR America.

Also giving their analysis and agreeing with Jarrett were Kyle Petty and Nate Ryan.

Jarrett and Petty also paid tribute to the Wood Brothers and what Blaney means to that organization, similar to the way they both earned their first Cup career wins while driving for the Wood Brothers.

“Those of us that were fortunate enough to drive for them and get a win for them, it carried us on to good careers, and I think it’s going to do the same with Ryan Blaney,” Jarrett said. “They’re in the playoffs. ... They could make it two in a row (this Sunday at Michigan).”

Added Petty, “You’re watching a driver mature before your eyes, and come into his own before your eyes.”
