Today’s Xfinity race at Richmond: Start time, weather, TV/radio info

Round three of the four-round Dash 4 Cash takes place today at Richmond International Raceway.

Points leader Elliott Sadler heads into today’s race looking to extend his points lead on JR Motorsports teammate William Byron. Kyle Benjamin will make his series debut, driving for Joe Gibbs Racing.

Here are the particulars for today’s Xfinity race:

START: Devon Smith, a Toyota owner, will give the command for drivers to start engines at 1:07 p.m. The green flag is scheduled for 1:13 p.m.

DISTANCE: The race is scheduled for 250 laps (187.5 miles) around the .750-mile speedway.

STAGES: Stage 1 ends on Lap 75. Stage 2 ends on Lap 150.

PRERACE SCHEDULE: The Xfinity garage opens at 6:30 a.m. The drivers meeting is at 11:15 a.m. Driver introductions are at 12:35 p.m.

NATIONAL ANTHEM: Kristen Dennis will perform the Anthem at 1:01 p.m.

TV/RADIO: Fox Sports 1 will broadcast the race at 1 p.m. Its coverage begins at 12:30 p.m. Motor Racing Network will broadcast the race on radio and at mrn.com. MRN’s coverage begins at 12:30 p.m. SiriusXM NASCAR Radio will carry MRN’s broadcast.

FORECAST: The wunderground.com site predicts 88 degrees at race time with a zero percent chance of rain at the start of the race.

LAST YEAR: Dale Earnhardt Jr. led 128 laps to win this race a year ago. Ty Dillon was second. Elliott Sadler placed third. Kyle Busch led 197 of 250 laps to win this race in September. Erik Jones was second. Brad Keselowski placed third.
