Get to know more about racing history in Kansas and Salina Speedway.

After a few days off, NASCAR America’s “50 States in 50 Show” returns with a look at a dirt track in north central Kansas called Salina Speedway.

The track, located in Salina, Kansas, is 175 miles west of Kansas City, where Kansas Speedway sits. The track has been in operation since 1969 and its walls are paint yellow for awareness of childhood cancer.

Watch the video to also see an old photo of Kansas-native Clint Bowyer from his early racing days as he pilots a John Deer petal tractor.
