It almost sounds like a law firm – Dillon, Jones and Dillon – but Ty Dillon, Erik Jones and Austin Dillon laid down the law on the track during Friday’s first of two Xfinity practice sessions at Texas Motor Speedway.

Ty Dillon was fastest (186.793 mph) to pace the 42 cars that took to the track.

Erik Jones, who spun and hit the wall hard during NASCAR Cup practice earlier in the day, bounced back with the second-fastest lap in the Xfinity practice (186.696 mph seconds).

Austin Dillon was third-fastest (185.771 mph), followed by Ryan Blaney (185.561), Daniel Suarez (185.503), Cole Custer (185.109), Tyler Reddick (185.052), Joey Logano (185.014), Matt Tifft (184.679) and Kevin Harvick (184.628).

Reddick also completed the most laps (54).

Points leader Elliott Sadler was 19th fastest (183.337 mph).

There were very few incidents during the session, the most notable being Daniel Suarez spinning out with about seven minutes remaining.

Suarez did not get into the wall and limped his car back to the garage.

“I just lost it,” Suarez told Fox Sports 1. “The car is fine, the car is very, very fast. I really feel we had the fastest car all day in the long run. ... I was trying to push a little bit more than what the car was taking and lost it.”

Also, Canadian driver Alex Labbe just missed hitting the wall after going too high in a turn.
