NASCAR America at 6 p.m. ET: Exclusive Dale Jr. interview, 50 States in 50 Shows: Georgia

Today’s episode of NASCAR America airs for an hour beginning at 6 p.m. ET on NBCSN and features an exclusive interview with Dale Earnhardt Jr. and a look at this weekend’s race at Texas Motor Speedway.

Carolyn Manno hosts from Stamford, Connecticut. Kyle Petty and Dale Jarrett join her from NBC Charlotte.

On today’s show:
· Texas Motor Speedway’s reconfigured track and newly repaved surface are sure to challenge drivers this weekend. We’ll start looking ahead to Sunday’s highly-anticipated race and hear a snippet of Nate Ryan’s podcast with special guest, the bold track president at TMS, Eddie Gossage.

· While promoting the Southern 500 on Labor Day weekend, Dale Earnhardt Jr. talked with Marty Snider about a variety of topics including: His slow start to the 2017 season, NASCAR’s new race & points format, his future behind the wheel, and whether or not his recent back-and-forth with Ryan Blaney is really all in good fun.

· After winning at Martinsville, Team Penske looks to continue its productive start to the season. Dave Burns visits the Penske shop in North Carolina and reports on how they’re preparing for the new-look Texas.

· My Home Track: 50 States in 50 Shows features the great state of Georgia - home of the Elliotts and our own Rutledge Wood, who calls in to talk some of the Peach State’s best short tracks. You’ll also see Rut look through some great NASCAR memorabilia with Stewart-Haas Racing’s Clint Bowyer.
