NASCAR America live at 5:30 p.m. ET -- Larson’s big weekend, Johnson’s struggles continue

Today’s episode of NASCAR America airs live from 5:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. ET on NBCSN.

Carolyn Manno hosts in our Stamford, Connecticut studio. NASCAR Hall of Famer Dale Jarrett and Jeff Burton will join us from Burton’s Garage.

On today’s show:

* The California Kid, Kyle Larson, swept the weekend at Auto Club Speedway, winning both the NASCAR Cup and Xfinity Series races in Fontana. After finishing runner-up in the three previous races, a bold crew chief decision helped secure the first win of 2017 for the No. 42 team on Sunday. We will hear from Larson following his victory plus get a sneak peak at the feature he’s working on with Rutledge Wood & Kyle Petty in his hometown.

* NASCAR America’s My Home Track: 50 States in 50 Shows trucks rolls into Arkansas! Today we visit two short tracks in the state that produced President Bill Clinton and Basketball Hall of Famer Scottie Pippen. Plus we talk to NASCAR Hall of Famer and Arkansas native Mark Martin about racing in his home state.

* Defending NASCAR Cup series champion Jimmie Johnson’s early season struggles continued at Fontana. When questioned about what’s going before the race on Friday he had an unusual response. We will break down the meaning with Jeff and Dale.
