Joey Logano tops first Xfinity practice at Auto Club Speedway

Joey Logano was fastest in the first of two Xfinity Series practice sessions at Auto Club Speedway for the Service King 300.

Logano, driving Team Penske’s Xfinity No. 22 for the first time this season, posted a speed of 178.904 mph. Logano recorded the speed on the first of 10 laps in the session.

The top five was filled by Kyle Larson (177.344), Erik Jones (177.061), Paul Menard (176.852) and Cole Custer (176.570).

William Byron and Brandon Jones recorded the most laps in the session with 24 each.

Ty Dillon had the best 10-lap average at 173.739 mph.
