Pole-sitter Joey Logano seeks his second consecutive Phoenix victory after winning there in November. Today’s event marks the second of NASCAR’s three races on its West Coast swing.

START: The command for drivers to start engines will be given at 3:37 p.m. ET. The green flag is scheduled for 3:44 p.m.
DISTANCE: The race is scheduled for 312 laps (312 miles) around the 1-mile oval.
PRERACE SCHEDULE: The Cup garage opens at 10 a.m. The drivers meeting is at 1:30 p.m. Driver introductions are at 3 p.m.
NATIONAL ANTHEM: Dr. Jessie McGuire will perform the Anthem at 3:31 p.m. with two F-35s from the 62nd Fighter Squadron from Luke Air Force Base providing the flyby.
TV/RADIO: Fox will broadcast the race at 3:30 p.m. with coverage beginning at 1:30 p.m. on Fox Sports 2. Motor Racing Network will broadcast the race on radio and at mrn.com. MRN’s coverage begins at 2:30 p.m. SiriusXM NASCAR Radio will carry MRN’s broadcast.
FORECAST: The wunderground.com site predicts 93 degrees at race time with a 0 percent chance of rain at the start of the race.
LAST YEAR: Joey Logano led 58 laps on the way to winning there in November. Kyle Busch was second. Kyle Larson placed third. Kevin Harvick led 139 laps on the way to winning last spring’s race. He was followed by Carl Edwards and Denny Hamlin.
