Ryan Newman gave himself and Richard Childress Racing their first NASCAR Cup victories since 2013 when a gamble paid off to win the Camping World 500 at Phoenix Raceway.

It was Newman’s first win since the 2013 Brickyard 400. The decision not to pit before an overtime restart allowed the opportunity for RCR’s first win since the fall 2013 race at Phoenix.

The top five was Newman, Kyle Larson, Kyle Busch, Ricky Stenhouse Jr and Brad Keselowski.
