Indianapolis Motor Speedway is the latest track to announce changes to its weekend schedule in relation to NASCAR Cup Series qualifying.
IMS announced Thursday that NASCAR Cup qualifying and both Cup practice sessions for the Brickyard 400 will be held on Saturday, July 22. Both were previously held on Friday.
Qualifying is now scheduled to start at 6:15 p.m. ET following the Xfinity Series race, which is set to begin at 3:30 p.m. ET.
The two Cup Series’ 50-minute practice sessions will start at 9 and 11 a.m. ET. Xfinity qualifying will be at 12:45 p.m. ET.
On Friday, the Xfinity Series will have two practice sessions followed by a fan fest and the annual hauler parade.
