In case you forgot, there was actually a winner in Sunday’s NASCAR Cup Series race at Las Vegas Motor Speedway and his name wasn’t Logano or Busch.

It was Martin Truex Jr. who overtook Brad Keselowski’s limping No. 2 car in order score is eighth Cup Series win. Truex is now tied with Clint Bowyer on the active wins list.

Truex talked with NBC Sports’ Parker Kligerman in victory lane.

“You just fight to the end, you never know what’s going to happen,” said Truex, who became the first Cup driver to win all three stages of a race. “It seemed like Brad and I were real close. I was little a little better on the short run, he was better on the really long run. ... We got a little bit lucky for sure.”
