Elliott Sadler had a quite day in Las Vegas as he finished eighth in the Boyd Gaming 300 at Las Vegas Motor Speedway.

But Sadler still holds the lead in the Xfinity Series standings after three races in the season.

Thanks to the new race and point format the JR Motorsports driver leads Roush Fenway Racing’s Ryan Reed by four points despite not winning a race yet this year. Reed won the season opener at Daytona International Speedway.

The top five after three races is Sadler (99 points), Reed (-4), William Byron (-9), Daniel Hemric (-27) and Darrell Wallace Jr. (-29).
