Suarez, Tifft, Busch put Joe Gibbs Racing 1-2-3 in Xfinity practice at Vegas

Joe Gibbs Racing had the Xfinity Series’ number in Friday’s second and final practice of the weekend at Las Vegas Motor Speedway.

Defending Xfinity Series champion Daniel Suarez, now a full-time rookie in the NASCAR Cup Series, was fastest in the second practice session at 182.389 mph.

Suarez’s JGR teammates, Matt Tifft (182.322) and Kyle Busch (182.002) were second- and third-fastest, followed by Joey Logano (181.990) and Brandon Jones (181.824).

Sixth through 10th were Brad Keselowski (181.635), Darrell Wallace Jr. (181.415), Blake Koch (181.36), Spencer Gallagher (181.354) and William Byron (181.172).

Brendan Gaughan, who was fastest in the first Xfinity practice session of the day, was 11th fastest in the second session (181.153).

Qualifying for Saturday’s Boyd Gaming 300 Xfinity Series race takes place Saturday at 1:05 p.m. ET, while the race itself will take the green flag later in the same afternoon around 4:15 p.m. ET.
