Today’s Xfinity race at Atlanta: Start time, weather, TV/radio info

A week after Ryan Reed’s victory at Daytona, the Xfinity Series is back on track for today’s Rinnai 250 at Atlanta Motor Speedway.

This is the first of a NASCAR doubleheader. The Camping World Truck Series will be held after the Xfinity race.

Here is all the information for today’s Xfinity race:

START: Frank Windsor, chief operating officer, Rinnai America Corp., will give the command to start engines at 2:07 p.m. The green flag is scheduled for 2:16 p.m.

DISTANCE: The race is scheduled for 163 laps (251 miles) around the 1.54-mile track.

PRERACE SCHEDULE: The Xfinity garage opens at 7 a.m. The driver/crew chief meeting is at 11:45 a.m. Driver introductions are at 1:35 p.m.

NATIONAL ANTHEM: Dr. Kat Strus, D.M. Lt. Col., USAF retired, will perform the National Anthem at 2:02 p.m. The Army Aviation Heritage Foundation Helicopter Team will perform the flyby.

TV/RADIO: Fox Sports 1 will broadcast the race at 2 p.m. Its coverage begins at 1:30 p.m. Performance Racing Network’s radio broadcast begins at 1:30 p.m. and also can be heard at goprn.com. SiriusXM NASCAR Radio will have PRN’s broadcast.

FORECAST: The wunderground.com site predicts a temperature of 58 degrees with a zero percent chance of rain at the start of the race.

LAST TIME: Kyle Busch led 119 of 163 laps to win this race a year ago. Kyle Larson finished second. Erik Jones placed third.
