Joey Logano was the leader at the end of the first segment of the Advance Auto Parts Clash.

Logano led on Lap 25 after Kyle Busch and the rest of the Toyotas dove to pit road right before the competition caution came out.

Pole-sitter Brad Keselowski led all but one of the first 18 laps, Denny Hamlin briefly led on Lap 9.

The segment saw one caution on Lap 18 when Jimmie Johnson got loose exiting Turn 4 and turned Kurt Busch nose-first into the outside wall. Kurt Busch was unharmed in the crash. Johnson’s car received very minor damage.

Kyle Busch was first off pit road, beating Keselowski, who was penalized for driving through too many pit boxes. Keselowski restarted from the rear.
