NASCAR Camping World Truck Series driver Christopher Bell won his qualifying feature race at Thursday night’s Chili Bowl Nationals.
The victory qualifies him for Saturday night’s A feature race for the fourth consecutive year. Bell finished 12th in that race last year.
“I’ve been coming to the Chili Bowl for a long time. Growing up here in Oklahoma, this is the Daytona 500 for us,” said Bell, who drives for Kyle Busch Motorsports in the Truck Series, after the race.
Justin Allgaier, who competes in the Xfinity Series for JR Motorsports, was set to finish fourth in Thursday’s feature race before contact with another car caused him to flip on the last lap. He was credited with 17th.
The fourth and final qualifying night program is Friday. Cup driver Ricky Stenhouse Jr. is scheduled to compete Friday.
There's something about winning inside a big building in Tulsa Oklahoma that's just so special. Bring on Saturday!!!!
