Brennan Poole

CREW CHIEF: Chad Norris

TEAM: Chip Ganassi Racing

POINTS: 8th

WINS: 0

LAPS LED: 11 (career-high)

TOP 5s: 4

TOP 10s: 17

POLES: 0

WHAT WENT RIGHT: Poole finished eighth in points in his rookie season and qualified for the inaugural Chase … He earned a career-high 17 top-10 finishes, improving from two during part-time schedule in 2015 … Recorded just a single DNF and completed 99.3 percent of the season’s laps.

WHAT WENT WRONG: Led laps in just four races … failed to advance out of the first round of the Chase … an ill-timed caution took away what looked like a victory at Talladega when Poole had crossed the finish line first.

WHAT TO EXPECT IN 2017: Poole will return for his second full season and will seek his first career win … Short-tracks and road courses will most likely remain his strong suit.
