One driver, one team, one sponsor.
That was a big point of emphasis for Jimmie Johnson and his No. 48 Hendrick Motorsports team after winning their seventh championship last month at Homestead-Miami Speedway. It’s quite an accomplishment, too, as Johnson has driven the same Lowe’s Chevrolet for Hendrick with crew chief Chad Knaus since he arrived in 2002.
To show their appreciation for the continuous support Lowe’s gives them, Knaus and Hendrick sent the company a big message. It was shared Wednesday on the organization’s social media channels.
“Winning a seventh championship with Lowe’s was absolutely incredible, and they’re such a big part of our team that we sent them a surprise to their headquarters from all of us at Hendrick Motorsports,” Knaus says in the video.
Winning #se7en titles together with @Lowes calls for one big surprise.
