Monster Energy is now the official entitlement sponsor of NASCAR’s premier series as announced Thursday in Las Vegas.

The popular energy drink company replaces Sprint / Nextel, which took over the rights from Winston entering the 2004 season. With the welcoming of just the third entitlement sponsor in NASCAR’s history, the reaction on social media was swift.
