Kyle Larson fastest in first Xfinity practice at Texas

Kyle Larson was fastest in the first Xfinity Series practice at Texas Motor Speedway for the O’Reilly Auto Parts Challenge.

Larson topped out at 185.599 mph. Daniel Suarez, a Chase contender, followed at 185.001 mph.

Filling out the top five was Matt Tifft (184.856), Erik Jones (184.972) and Kevin Harvick (183.673).

No one ran 10-consecutive laps in the session.

Chase driver Blake Koch did not complete a lap in the session after slamming the wall in Turn 2 on his first lap. Koch, who is third on the Chase grid will go to a backup car.
