Daniel Suarez paces truck practice at Martinsville

MARTINSVILLE, Va. -- Daniel Suarez led the first Camping World Truck Series practice Friday at Martinsville Speedway with a 95.525-mph lap in his No. 51 Toyota.

Suarez, who is competing for the championship in the Xfinity Series, is making his 10th truck start this season.

Cameron Hayley was second fastest, followed by William Byron, who was the top Chase for the Sprint Cup driver. Playoffs contender Matt Crafton was fourth, and John Hunter Nemechek was fifth.

Here is where the other four contenders in the truck Chase ranked in practice:

--Johnny Sauter, sixth;

--Christopher Bell, eighth;

--Ben Kennedy, 17th;

--Timothy Peters, 20th.
