Today’s episode of NASCAR America airs from 5:30 – 7 p.m. ET on NBCSN.
Taking up a big part of the show will be what to expect in this Sunday’s Goody’s Fast Relief 500 at Martinsville Speedway, which begins the “Round of 8” in the Chase for the Sprint Cup Championship.
· After racing at the biggest track on the Sprint Cup circuit, the Chase continues at the shortest – Martinsville. We’ll discuss the keys to conquering the Paperclip. Why is strategy more important than speed at this tiny track, and what adjustments need to be made?
· States of NASCAR: Virginia – Rutledge Wood takes us on a journey through NASCAR’s history in Virginia, the only state with four Sprint Cup point races.
· NASCAR Home Track – South Boston Speedway: We’ll visit one of Virginia native Jeff Burton’s home tracks, which just completed a repave yesterday! We’ll further explore Jeff’s racing roots and find out how he made his mark on Martinsville Speedway – plus get his advance on conquering it!
· Ricky Stenhouse Jr. calls in to discuss how he plans to treat the final four races of the season, as well as his motivation to help Roush Fenway Racing return to the top.
