Austin Theriault to make second Truck start of season at Martinsville

Austin Theriault will compete in his second NASCAR Camping World Truck Series race of 2016 on Saturday at Martinsville Speedway.

Theriault will drive the No. 02 Young’s Building Systems/Randco Chevrolet Silverado in the Texas Roadhouse 200. It will be his 11th career Truck Series start. He has two career top-five finishes and four top 10s.

Saturday will be Theriault’s first Truck race since the season-opening event at Daytona International Speedway, where he finished 27th. This will be his first Truck race at Martinsville.

It also will be Theriault’s first Truck Series race for an owner other than Brad Keselowski Racing. This weekend, the 22-year-old Theriault will be driving for team owner Randy Young and general manager and driver Tyler Young.

Theriault has spent most of this season competing in the NAASCAR K&N Pro Series East division. In 11 starts, he had six top-five finishes and one other top-10 showing. He had an average start of 10.0 and average finish of 9.2.

Theriault has also had one Xfinity start this season, finishing 37th last month at Richmond.
