Enfinger, Coughlin fastest in first Truck Series practice at Talladega

Grant Enfinger was fastest in the first NASCAR Camping World Truck Series practice Friday at Talladega Superspeedway, setting the pace at 186.300 mph.

Cody Coughlin was second fastest (186.275), followed by Christopher Bell (186.191), two-time Truck Series champ Matt Crafton (186.151) and John Wes Townley (186.079).

Bell, Crafton and 10th fastest Timothy Peters (184.623) were the only Chase drivers in the top 10.

Series points leader William Byron was 13th fastest (184.122). Other Chase drivers were Johnny Sauter (14th, 183.115 mph), John Hunter Nemechek (16th, 181.158), Ben Kennedy (18th, 178.773) and Daniel Hemric (21st, 177.117).

The second and final Truck practice of the weekend takes place at 3 pm ET this afternoon.
