KHI Management signs NASCAR Next driver Harrison Burton

Harrison Burton, son of former NASCAR driver and current NBC analyst Jeff Burton, has signed a multi-year representation agreement with KHI Management. The group was founded by 2014 Sprint Cup Series champion Kevin Harvick.

Burton, who turned 16 on Oct. 9, recently completed his first season in the NASCAR K&N Pro Series East. In 14 starts he earned one pole, five top-10 finishes and wound up seventh in the point standings. He also made his ARCA Racing Series debut at Iowa Speedway in July and finished third.

A member of the 2016-'17 NASCAR Next class, Burton is scheduled to make his NASCAR national series debut in the Camping World Truck Series on Oct. 29 at Martinsville Speedway. He will then run a partial schedule in 2017.

“I realize how fortunate I am not only to be competing in the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series this year and next, but also to be working with KHI Management,” Burton said in the company release. “I have watched every step of my father’s racing career through the years, so I know how important strong representation is to my future. I’m looking forward to growing on and off the track with Kevin Harvick and his group.”

Burton also won three Super Late Model races in 2016, including the Southern Super Series race at Five Flags Speedway in Pensacola, Florida. He is also the youngest driver to have made a start in the K&N Pro Series West when he competed at All American Speedway at 15 years, eight days old last season.

“KHI Management is thrilled to add one of the most promising, up-and-coming NASCAR drivers to its stable of athletes with Harrison Burton,” Harvick said. “I have had my eye on him since his early days in quarter midgets, and he has improved markedly with each passing year. Harrison has the talent to be an extremely successful driver, and when you couple that with the Burton name and reputation, you have a winning combination. KHI Management is proud to be a part of Harrison’s future.”

Harrison’s father, Jeff Burton, is also a client of KHI Management. The company represents other athletes such as UFC fighter Miesha Tate and PGA golfer Jason Gore; musicians Jake Owen and Matt Stillwell, as well as Fox Sports sideline reporter Shannon Spake.
