Ryan Sieg tops first Xfinity Series practice at Charlotte

Ryan Sieg, one of the 12 drivers in the Xfinity Series Chase, was the fastest driver in the first practice for the Drive for the Cure 300 at Charlotte Motor Speedway.

Sieg posted a top speed of 181.650 mph around the 1.5-mile track while recording 16 laps.

Sieg is 11th on the Chase grid entering the last race of the first round. Eight drivers will advance to the second round.

Following Sieg was Ty Dillon (181.635), Erik Jones (181.494), Blake Koch (181.184) and Kyle Larson (180.270).

Erik Jones recorded the best 10-lap average at 177.432 mph.
