Special delivery: Four personal letters addressed to Tony Stewart

Um8Pu1VZ5HZJ
Tony Stewart gets emotional reading letters from the important people of his NASCAR life and reflects on his career.

Tony Stewart didn’t know what was coming when he sat down with NBC Sports recently for an interview. Soon he was handed sheets of paper -- they were letters addressed to him.

One was from his father, Nelson.

One was from close friend Greg Zipadelli, who was Stewart’s crew chief for two Sprint Cup championships.

One was from journalist Robin Miller, who has covered Stewart since his days of racing on dirt tracks.

And one was from Eddie Jarvis, business manager and close friend to Stewart for 16 years.

Each letter shared personal, touching memories and thoughts about the man called Smoke.

See how Stewart got through reading those letters.
