Can I get a “Freebird” and “Sweet Home, Fort Worth!?”

Texas Motor Speedway announced Thursday that Rock & Roll Hall of Famers Lynyrd Skynyrd will perform a concert prior to the April 9 Duck Commander 500.

The Saturday night race will be preceded by Skynyrd’s one-hour “Loud and Proud” pre-race show, kicking off at 4:40 pm CT. The race begins just under two hours later.

In more than 40 years together, Lynyrd Skynyrd has produced over 60 albums, including 13 platinum albums. The band hails from Jacksonville, Florida, and was inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame in 2006.

The Duck Commander 500 is NASCAR’s third-highest paying race and is part of a weekend that includes the O’Reilly Auto Parts 300 Xfinity Series race on Friday evening, April 8.
