2015 NASCAR XFINITY series champion Chris Buescher visit the Empire State Building, Tuesday, Dec. 15, 2015. Buescher will move up to the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series to drive for Front Row Motorsports in 2016, Roush Fenway Racing announced last week.

WHAT WENT RIGHT: Buescher won the Xfinity title in his second full season in the series ... Clinched title with 11th place finish at Homestead ... Won two races, at Dover and Iowa, after earning his first career win in 2014 at Mid-Ohio ... Led the point standings for the final 23 races of the year ... Finished year with $1,894,800 in earnings ... Recorded no DNFs.

WHAT WENT WRONG: Finished off the lead lap just five times ... Had a mid-season feud with teammate Darrell Wallace Jr. after the two made contact with each other during the spring Dover race. Wallace was in the lead until the run in and Buescher went on to win.

WHAT TO EXPECT IN 2016: Buescher makes the move to full-time competition in Sprint Cup Series racing for Front Row Motorsports.
