KANSAS CITY, Kan. -- Kansas Speedway has added lines to mark the restart zone for this weekend’s Xfinity and Sprint Cup races, but the track has done it differently than what Charlotte Motor Speedway did last week.
Kansas Speedway had the lines painted only on the apron - not on the track as Charlotte did.
One thing Kansas Speedway has done is paint a small portion of the grass alongside the restart zone in yellow to make the zone easier for fans in the stands to see. The track also painted the outside wall in the restart zone yellow. The restart zone is 180 feet.
