The points leader in the Xfinity Series, Buescher will make his first Sprint Cup start since the spring Talladega race. The Rousch Fenway Racing driver started in five races in the No. 34 earlier this year as a substitute driver for Moffit, who was replacing Brian Vickers in the No. 55 at Michael Waltrip Racing.
Moffitt has now been replaced for both of the Sprint Cup Series’ road-course races. Justin Marks took his spot at Sonoma Raceway and finished 30th.
