UPDATED, 2:45 p.m. ET: NASCAR has announced that Brad Keselowski has lost the pole for Saturday’s Hyundai Construction Equipment 200 after it was found that he didn’t cross the start/finish line in time to complete his pole-winning lap in the final round of qualifying.
As a result, Ben Kennedy will start on pole for the race. He was able to time his lap perfectly and posted a speed of 176.684 mph. Keselowski will start 10th on the grid.
With Keselowski deemed to have not beaten the clock, that makes a total of 11 trucks in the final 12-truck qualifying round that failed to get a lap in under the allotted time and did not have a lap recorded.
